La Vucciria
"Last June, the famous painting La Vucciria, by Sicilian artist Renato Guttuso, came to life at Villa Sant'Andrea. Vucciria is one of Palermo’s oldest markets and its name means noise and chatter. The painting shows the real soul of the island, people bustling together, stalls laden with different kinds of food, and bright colours: red meat, blue fish, green vegetables and a rainbow of fruits. This explosion of colour fascinated a Spanish couple, who decided to celebrate their wedding at our lovely hotel. The painting’s special atmosphere and hues were transformed into exclusive decorations for a fun-filled banquet with a touch of Sicilian magic, marking the continuation of a wonderful love story."
